Cain Cuvée NV12 Napa Valley Red Bordeaux Blend

Simple and enjoyable. It doesn’t try to be anything that it’s not. Decent structure, solid tannins that wrap a core of spice and graphite.

New release by Cain. Bordeaux blend with fruit from different vintages (majority is 2012). Great effort. Blackberry, leather, with some herbs and spices. Combo a fruit from Spring Mountain, Oakville, Rutherford, Yountville, and Carneros

Great as always. Consistently aged well with deep fruit and balance. Earthy and dry but not too dry.

Deep ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, leather, Forrest floor and dried herbs. Mellow dark fruit flavors, dark chocolate and cedar finish.

Lots of blackberry juicy fruit with a lovely full-bodied layer of spices. Really smooth, really soft mouthfeel. Very impressed, actually! Wasn't expecting it!

This is not your everyday Big and Bold Napa blend, this is designed to be light and nimble on its feet. Savory and floral aromas jump out at you. Extremely fresh and vibrant, the blend shows more complexity than you might expect. Tobacco, ripe strawberries, smoked meat, and some damp earth on the palate. The old world leather really puts this baby over the top. Nice finish and wonderful structure. Go grab these and drink up.
