Dark garnet purple with color almost to the rim. Abundant nose of black cherry, brown spices, and cedar. Full-bodied palate echoes the nose adding red apple peel and a bit of black pepper back palate. Juicy medium plus minus acidity and oh so fine tannins that only assert just before the medium long finish place this squarely in the "fine dining food wine" category, though a snack of semi-hard cheeses and charcuterie will fare quite well. Caiarossa's "second wine" gives an experience right up there with the big boys of Super Toscana at a reasonable price. Take it to any dinner from now through 2030.

Again, excellent.
A magnificent red blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Alicante with flavors of blackberry, currant, oak and a hint of cedar. One of my favorite mid-priced Super Tuscans.
