Top Notes For
A great representation of an easy, approachable, entry cab! A gift from the somm at Cafe Central after an incredible dinner in El Paso, it’s been a few years but the wine still has energy, great tannin (light cling, but not grabby), with a beautiful nose, a blend of dark, black fruits, mushrooms, vanilla and cigar smoke, with a hint of spice. Big body, with a palate that’s dry, woody, with hints of coffee, dark chocolate and plum preserves, but not sweet. The palate finishes with light balsamic, with a slight citric freshness. Perfect pairing for a big ole flank steak, with some great memories attached!
