Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend

Superb! Full bodied, medium acidity, and wonderful fruit while amazingly dry (not overly sweet as Amarone can be). Aromas of cherry, cassis, white pepper on the nose. Great follow through with silky smooth blackcurrant and a hint of vanilla (oak) shining through. This is an amazing value at $15. Buy it if you find it. Curious on 5hr aging potential 🍷
Let this decant for 1 - 2 hrs.

This is the red from Verona, but the red isn't coming up. Rich and fruity with ripe cherries. Almost syrupy. Intense, as expected, and delish! Lovely and creamy, with more ripe fruits, black olive, and sundried tomatoes, and a super smooth finish. What a great buy for $15 from Trader Joe's.

Trader Joe's, $15

Needs time to breathe, got ripe blueberries on the nose. Smooth, dryish but good balance with a little berry sweetness. Just enough tannins and a pleasant somewhat short finish. I very much enjoyed this, I couldn't really find anything I didn't like about it, especially at it's price point. I'm typically a budget TJs wine shopper, always looking for the next sub $10 gem, but this was definitely worth the extra few bucks and is going on my rotation.

very cherry forward - docg trader joe’s

Great wine, it's staring light but getting more taste and most importantly great smell after being airing. Great with steak and blue soft cheeses like combadzolla. Again great smell

Medium ruby in color; black cherries, plums, and bell peppers on the nose; medium acidity, medium plus tannins; tastes like stewed prunes, tart cherries, and slate with a long finish.

Started off very strong and acidic but got much more tasty and rich with a lot of air time. Kept it slightly chilled to bring to an outdoor summer picnic and it was a hit!

Color of purple mixed with red, quite light. Nose of ripe grapes, strength of alcohol, acidity, sour cherry, and some strawberry. Taste is quite mellow with a bit cinnamon spice, light with medicinal strawberry, a bit rind. 2nd sip shows some more alcohol strength, yet a bit dilute. Some more grape juice flavor. Almost no tannins. Aftertaste is medium short with similar note. Not too impressed.

Tarte cherry and vanilla notes. Nice acidity, makes my mouth water without drooling. It is not overly drying. Makes me remember my time in Italy. Gotta love great finds at Trader Joe's
