Nose has tarry raspberry-strawberry, faint vanilla bean and a bit of alcohol on close.
Palate has earthy/rustic raspberry, distant dark chocolate, tannins are still medium and quite chewy, finish is short with lingering dried cherry notes.
Decanted about 4-5 hours, not sure if that was enough based on the nose. Likely half of the bottle this evening and we'll revisit tomorrow. Not much improvement since 2.5 years ago.

2017 vintage. A bit of everything with medium body, requisite tannins, slightly reserved fruit and spice/tar shouting here and there. $35.10 bottle resto cost. Don't need Barolo but couldn't say no at that price. 06.11.25.

Having it again on the fourth day after opening. Crazy. Softer for sure but how well the tannins are holding up is insane. First day I gave this a 9.1. I'm bumping it to 9.4. Wish I could have had it on day two and three.
