Ca' Lojera
Riserva del Lupo Lugana Trebbiano

This Lugana is the riserva style, so it has a little oak; riserva Luganas can have up to 10% of the juice aged in oak (they put most of the juice in stainless steel to age, but a small amount of the same juice into oak barrels).
The result has a larger body, like some Chardonnays, with refreshing citrus tones like a Sauvignon Blanc. It is highly mineral, with a mild metallic tang, with crispy green bell pepper flavors and a touch of grassiness. It paired extremely well with chicken pot pie, garlic broccoli, and rich Gouda-filled roasted mushrooms; the metal cut through the fat, as it were. It wouldn’t be a good cocktail wine.

It's a late harvest in a vineyard exposed to Botritys attacks but under windy conditions. Completely vinified in still tanks and 6 months aging in bottles. At €13 at the winery is a real bargain. Awesome.

Nov 14th, 2019clear and gold. i don’t get much on the nose, pretty low intensity, hard to pull out aromas. dry, medium + body, almost round on the palate. medium - acid. hard to pick out flavors on this one. pear strikes me as the main note. maybe some green melon too ? good wine, good with food (lamb gyro)

Ca' Lojera - Lugana Riserva del Lupo 2011
Персик, манго, акация, желтый грейпфрут, луговые травы, ваниль, свежая, но ощутимая медовость. Напористый сахар в развитии уравновешивается миндалем и фисташками, при нагреве - легкой спиртуозностью. Поздний сбор, не вульгарно, но чуть навязчиво. Важна правильная температура.
