A well-made Valpo is one of life’s simple pleasures. This one certainly is. Light, great fruit, nice acids. Perfect for chicken roll-ups with prosciutto and Swiss cheese braised in white wine.

The 2020 Valpolicella Classico is a super-fresh, floral and peppery expression, with wild strawberries and crushed stone filling its bouquet. This is purity personified with vivid strawberry and cherry-berry fruits, hints of spice and minerals. Not as expressive as the ‘19 or’18 but still goes down way too fast. Light and tasty.

Less of the svelte toasted thing than 2018 but just as lovely

@Dave Kahler nails this one. Blind, I would have said definitely French. There’s something bready on the nose that you don’t smell in many Italian wines.

Holy crap. If you want a light bodied crushable red, this is your guy! Fermented in stainless steel and macerated on the skins for 10 days, it is a beauty. Fresh, lovely balance of tart strawberries, raspberry, and red cherries with delicate earth undertones. I might be angry if I had to share this bottle with others.
