Still youthfully dark in color with a very slight browning on rim. Upon opening still very tight and shy on nose. Decided to decant this for 3.5h prior our Christmas dinner and it started to open around 3h mark. Then it was a great Barbaresco from Treiso offering slightly darker side of Nebbiolo expression with ripe cherry, some leather and smoke, fine pepper notes. Healthy acidity and fine tannins offers solid back bone for further aging and development. I take this is 2-3 years from peak and should continue to drink several years after that. Glad I have 2 more bottles. This was a fabulous qpr back then at 23€/bottle
