Fuller and richer style of Bien Nacido fruit. Still a very elegant and flavorful SMV Chard.

Crystal clear, straw yellow color, beautiful legs, light/medium body, this is a great example of properly aligned, oaked Chardonnay. I try to watch movies or deep, well written and well acted shows while I drink, and tonight it was the end of Paris, Texas, and Capote. I don’t know if drinking the refined nectars of the Californian desert influenced my choices, but damnit if this wine didn’t enhance the experience. Smells like amber, rich floral notes and caramelized sugar. It’s rich, deep, unrestrained, enthralling. The mouth feel is creamy, with a pervasive sweetness, and a slightly nutty and pronounced baked palate, like Cinnamon cream pie and custard.

The nose is lemon rind and bee pollen with some flower I can’t figure out. There’s almost this petrol element in the form of old white port. Interesting. The palate still has good acidity with a tart lemon rind really popping out.
