Julia’s vineyard.. Did side by side with Foxen. This is much more muted, fruit almost gone with not much hanging on. Subtle cherry, cola, sassafras and earth. Acid only thing holding it together. Unlike the Foxen, air did not help.

Starting to show some age as the color is fading a bit. Aroma of red fruits - red rasp and cherry, earthy, flinty mineral, almost petrochor,. More mineral earth and slight funk on the finish.

The nose has an interesting moist barnyard, dirt, crushed raspberry and black pepper going on. There’s still some acidity and silky tannins. This probably needs at least 30 minutes decant to open. The palate has more raspberry with a green element coming through. Menthol maybe. I remember day 1 being better, with a bit more juicy strawberry.

An amazing pinot. Smokey, earthy, jamy plum, blackberry fruit, but not sweet. Great with cheese, mushroom risotto
