It's a beauty!

Currant, blackberry, vanilla, toasty oak. Similar notes on the palate with some bitter chocolate. Firm but well integrated tannins provided a nice foil to steak. Tasty stuff.

Now is the time to open. Has really opened up over the years. Still has some pepper on the back end. Fantastic wine to drink now.

Luscious and rich, ripe and just slightly vegetal with a smooth, mouth-filling texture. 12 years old seems this wine’s prime.
