Such a damn good wine. At this price point… purchase a case! You'll thank me.

Buttonwood Syrah rosé from the Santa Ynez Valley, 2016.

Amazing rosé. Amazing. Beautiful pink/strawberry-ish hue with a nose full of grilled pineapple, watermelon and oranges. There's florals and pink peppercorn spice rounding out the edges and in the mouth those flavors shine. There's great acidity and well-balanced structure and if this isn't in the dictionary as the definition of "patio pounder" I don't know what would be instead.

16' Buttonwood Syrah Rose. I only purchased 3 Rose wines this year. We tasted a couple dozen of them. Quite tasty.

2015 Buttonwood syrah rosé from the Santa Ynez Valley.

If every rosé I tried tasted like this I would probably never go back to whites or reds. Orange flowers and oils along with some iron - rich minerality leap from the glass while the palate is refreshingly alive and balanced. This is what a cool breeze on a summer day tastes like.

Watermelon. Low alcohol, refreshing. Bough at new horizons in solvang and drank at home with laura and Caroline with poached sea bass and leeks.

My only regret is that we didn't buy a case. Outstanding rosé with sultry notes of dark cherry and a slight effervescence. I'm obsessed.

2014 vintage - watermelon and strawberries. Almost a tart, yogurt, creaminess with a bit of effervescence.

Elegant wine maker. Light touch across the board. A refreshing style and a nice relief from the overwrought efforts common in this area.
