Jesus I become more surprised every time I open one of these. Had it open for 3 full days and it just kept getting better and better. So bright, so pure, shining that California Pinot with such balance. A pleasure to drink.

So surprised at how good and true to its genetics and ground this is. The winemaker told me it was an experiment to gauge his perception of Pinot. Thanks for doing that. I hella appreciate it.

Once again a truthful experience. I reviewed this wine before and erroneously guessed from memory that it was made 50% new oak but this time it's obviously true to what it is and that there is no wood speaking here. This tastes like sunny sun baked California brown earth, not rich in minerals but absolutely dirty and balanced. This is a great representation of down to the ground California Pinot with no pretense...almost Burgundian in spirit if I must say.

Going for that burgundy replica. Nailing it! 😉 despite the winemakers claim on the bottle this actually did feel delicate and had just the right amount of acidity and leather to keep me coming back for more. I can remember when I bought this a few years ago, I think the winemaker was clear about it being clone 667 in 50% new oak, whatever that means at this point.
