Burrowing Owl Estate Winery
Okanagan Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Big Canadian red, lot of fruit on the palette. Great wine to pair with a steak and dark chocolate. Burrowing Owl is one of the best vineyards in Canada for red wines.

Nov 4th, 2019Decanted for over an hour prior to lunch and enjoyed over a few hours. Rich ripe dark plums, red cherries, black currant, cassis, hints of raspberry, followed by mild cherry cola and earthiness. There are silky smooth tannins that fill the palate. Extraordinarily well balanced. Delicious wine that evolved throughout it’s course

Jun 19th, 2019Deep purple in colour. Some sediment. Cedar, tobacco, black currant on the nose. Black fruit, tobacco to taste. Long finish. Opened up in the glass. Could handle one to two more years in the cellar.
