Jul 22nd, 2020Stunning - this is a World Class Wine from the rolling hills of North Carolina. Done in true “Meritage” style (if that’s a thing) - using all 5 noble Bordelaise grapes with an outstanding result. Gorgeous right off and then just opened and deepened over an hour or so: beautiful red & black perfumed fruit, deep rich cherry & cassis, core beam of plum and blackberry/boysenberry, mocha & vanilla, subtle dusting of sweet spices. Gentle caressing tannins - sturdy & balanced, fluid, seamless - as my wife exclaimed: a symphony!
