Really terrific bottle of old Grenache, was previously always a bit rustic, but this bottle was at peak, round and wonderfully balanced, lovely bottle sweetness, long finish, absolutely wonderful!!

This one's not a monster. Maybe a little fat, and absent giant tannin, but quite a nice match for my spiced pork entree. Spicy.

Served up with charcuterie, soft-ripened goat cheese w/ash, cornichons, and a great baquette. What a match! A little short on the backend but a minor flaw at best. Now...will it go with a baked mustard/honey/OJ Easter ham tomorrow? (Sunday: yes it did but the simple '14 D de Verquière C du R was a far better choice.)

1990 Burle Gigondas, Brett, barnyard, mature Grenache fruit, rich and deep, clearly it's never been close to a filter, long finish, very good juice.
