"Jozy Altidore... you know he's gonna score... WE GO WILD WILD WILD. WE GO WILD WILD WILD!!!!" If this wine was a soccer player, it would be Jozy Altidore: Tall, dark, handsome, robust, and a born winner. If only he were Spanish too.... also... TFC is up 1-0 right now against Seattle thanks to Jozy. Those bastards.

I have several bottles. All 2008. Some labels are blurry and others are crisp. The ones with crisp Metal labels are more full-bodied and are quite frankly better. I don't know if I'm dealing with a counterfeit wine.

A mature dry tempranillo from Rioja Baja, at the very eastern border of the appellation. Color a bit lighter than expected, but that lightness did not extend to the body which was rich and full. At 8 years old, it is exhibiting the more mature flavors of dry leather and woody notes, in addition to the usual dark fruits. The finish was wonderfully long and makes a glass go a long way! All-in-all, a good tempranillo in a very good spot.

Good color, extraction, juicy, full body. Drank on Sunday night when it was 5 degrees outside by the fire with my fiancé

Nicely evolved Rioja. Very lightly spicy with hints of musk and pepper.
