Was not as taken with this as we thought we'd be. Paired with smoked short ribs but it seemed a bit off.

Dec 1st, 2019Delicious. Opens up beautifully in decanter for 30-60 minutes. Dark fruits, full bodied on the mid-palate with a delightful finish that is balanced and smooth but still tannic. Paired with aged cote de boeuf. What an incredible dinner paired with the perfect wine. Burgess wines can certainly age in the bottle, so we plan to buy another and lay it down for 10 years.

Nice cab. Cork disintegrated upon opening it, but wine overall tasted fine. Not particularly layered but a nice complement to steak and reasonably fruit forward tannins
