Nose with odor of sardine/anchovy. Light, easy drinker. Strawberry, mild on the palate. Would be good as an easy summer drinker with a watermelon salad.

First Plavac Mali and First Croatian wine! 🇭🇷 a juicy, fresh, easy drankin' red that is simple but yielding in its pleasure. Pours a medium (-) intensity ruby-garnet. Bright, elegant nose of red currant and snappy rhubarb, fresh red floral character and damp freshly tilled earth, and a bit of clove-y spice character (though not in a oaky way, there's no way this has seen any even-close-to-new oak). Palate echoes the nose but with a more focused, mineral edge. Light bodied, medium (+) acidity, with a moderate tannic structure, slightly more than expected but welcome nonetheless. Definitely want to further explore Dalmatian reds after this. Serve slightly chilled. Great red for a summer picnic.
