Celebrating Bastille Day with the spring dinner of the Confrerie St Etienne of Alsace association. Wonderful menu and perfectly paired wines.

Mainly cab/Syrah, with a splash of Malbec. Unique. Could pick out the inky and muddled blackberries of the Malbec easily. The Syrah provided more tart rhubarb and violets as opposed to darker/meatier Napa Syrahs. Heavy on the mid palate. Juicy and extracted finish of red and black fruits.

Wow, loved this wine, dark rich red color, full bodied. Lots of dark fruit on the nose, with leather and tobacco, smith oak finish, buy it!
