Always been an Amarone fan, and been looking for a fun Corvina! For $12, this is hard to beat! The nose is a delight ... hard to pin down, but bright fruit and a spiciness that must be from drying the grapes for 30 days. Palate has light tannins and a forest floor essence that is quite appealing. Not a baby Amarone, but it does lure you into heading into your cellar to take this to the next level!

Raisins and plums with vanilla and some herbal notes, I'm thinking rosemary. Sweet and sour arrival, raisins and mixed spices with bitter lemon and sweet balsamic vinegar. Black pepper and hints of licorice and thyme on the development. Another excellent wine!
