Dark, slightly glass-clinging garnet purple. Abundant nose of compote blueberries. Medium full palate confirms the nose adding plum juice, red apple peel, violets, and graphite. Medium acidity. Medium, mildly assertive tannins. Medium long finish. Classic rich HHH that's a perfect bridge between California fruit and Bordeaux structure. Beef, lamb, and rich stews are in order. Drink now through 2027.

I was pretty impressed. I heard some mixed reviews about this wine but i liked it. Heavy body, bright fruits of plum, raspberry with hints of vanilla. Long delicious finish.

Jun 9th, 2018Nice cab nose of cassis, blackberry , leather, and a touch of black pepper. Fruiter new world style black fruits on the palate, with sandy tannins. Medium finish. For fans of the new world style.
