Brouwerij Rodenbach
Rodenbach The Original Sour Ale
Making a sacrifice today, we're trying to make some space in our freezer, so a 14 lb. (6.3 kg) turkey is going into our oven after a days long salt brine. We're using this bottle of vintage Rodenbach as a base for the basting sauce, eventually gravy. Luckily we have more in the cellar 😌.
A mellow, toasty, roasted cherry, soft barrel notes...Damn it, I love Rodenbach so much! Awesome at cellar temperature.
Aged two years in Foeder No. 149, then at least two more, if not more in our cellar. Unfortunately I don't track beer acquisitions with the same fervor as wine, so I'm not really sure how long it's been down there. 🤷🏻♂️
