Les Hauts de Barville Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Fragrant nose of red cherry, strawberry, dried herbs, light roast coffee beans, touch of violet. Vibrant palate with fresh acidity. Finely grained tannins is a bit astringent.
Quite youthful at this stage. Need another 4-5 years to show more complexity and substance.

A bit tannic and probably needed a year or 2 of cellar age.

Great value at $29, I enjoyed this with a charcuterie board

Missing the earthy and herbal complexity that I look for in cdp

Rich yet soft. High alcohol yet floral. This is a great wine.

We brought back from our trip to France in 2018. It was great with The Risty Flank Steak.
