2014; Father's Day 2022.
šŸ‘… Apple juice, dehydrated nectarine, green banana peel, faint vanilla creme, old vinyl | šŸ‘… Honey drizzle over fresh apple pie, under-ripe yellow apple, white peach. Considerably more advanced than our prior bottle, seems some bottle variation here, but one more bottle in the cellar for confirmation.

Wicked petrol nose, picking up some sweetness as it warms. Very nice! Many years remain in this bottle, do not retaste until 2024.

Such a treat to attend Brooks Wines first University event led by Alder Yarrow and Brooks' talented winemaker, Chris Williams. As Alder put it, the 2014 Sweet P Riesling is "fresh as a button." Spot on, Mr. Yarrow, in addition, lilting notes of green apples, white peaches, spring flowers, mint and the merest hint of pea shoot. Lush and layered, there is perceptible sweetness as the name implies, but it's well-balanced by spritely acidity amidst bosc pears and quince. Finishes with a touch of spice. Thai food, anyone?
