Oct 22nd, 2021130-year-old vines and 100% carbonic make for an absolutely delicious wine. Massive concentration and intensity, but only 12.8%!! Perfectly ripe plums and black cherry, florals, and rich turned soil. Fresh juicy acid and some VA keep things quite high-toned and sprightly. More please!

Jan 7th, 2018Deep purple red in color. Menthol, diacetyl, red fruit (strawberry, cherry, rhubarb) and meaty notes in nose. Syrupy mouthfeel, slightly off dry, nice bitterness, complex flavor notes overall with fruit, mushroom, wood, licorice. With time, chewy tannins emerge, plus tactile spritz-like sensation on tip of tongue. Liked this wine a lot, though it did not stand up to ribeye steak or heirloom tomato and fresh pasta as well as expected.
