Almost has a Pinot blanc, old world nose. Slight funk and a touch vegetal. Absolutely no oak or butter on the nose. Bit of clove like spice. Great texture and mid palate. Nice spice on the palate with a really balanced fruit character.

Biodynamic and it shows. Fresh bright clean chard but with some citrus and mineral and a slight very slight buttery finish

Compared the 2012 with the 2011. 2011 is more austere; 2012 has a bit more flesh and roundness. Burgundy like with its minerality. Want to try it again.

Steve says this year was warmer and produced more sugar thus the "bigger" character than in the 2011. I find this more pleasant, a rounder fruitier up front with good acid balance and a long lemony fruity linger. Really nice!!
