A wine named in memory of a close cousin of Greg Brewer, this wine took a fair amount of time to come around. The nose initially had a pruny character that I usually associate with a stewed wine. Bought this at the winery in October 2016; aside from the flight back, the wine has been stored at 55 F ever since so I can’t imagine it saw the sort of heat that would be necessary to cook the wine. After about 30-40 min, that component dissipated for the most part to reveal an elegant pinot noir. Still not convinced this is showing as well as it should - have to see what the next bottle is like when we open it.
