Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay

Low Country Boil Companion.

Beautiful chardonnay. Mouthwatering acid but enough body to bring it all together. Salinity is great, very impressed.

Very different than most Macon. Big, tropical and creamy. Tastes more expensive than it is. Very well made.

You'd think it'd be too old, but no. Quite delicious, like a golden delicious apple that you thought was sitting around too long, only to discover that its insides are full of golden delicious goodness.

I like Chardonnay from the Macon their ability to be excessive yet precise, sort of an idealized new world expression. They can be fat and exotic, yet razor sharp. I generally like this producer, but this particular bottle accomplished neither for me.

Beautiful, fine carbonation. Welcome like a cool breeze in the woods. The pairing of sweet, umami, tart, savory, florality, and minerals is expert.
