A vibrant medium purple in the glass with little cherry flecks. Incessant fruit on the nose with rhubarb, strawberry, and lively cherries. Tons of moist earth is all over this thing and takes it to that next level.

Primarily Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, there’s also a little Petite Sirah, Carignan, and other varietals thrown into the mix. A true field blend. Carbonic maceration lends that earthy quality to the fruit. Soft, round tannins and medium acidity.

In the mouth, this is light and crunchy with an abundance of fruit. Dried cherries, figs, and stewed plums show up along with fresh strawberries and raspberries. Dry underbrush and new leather on the backside with spice on the finish. Thoroughly enjoyable, this is one of the more fun wines I’ve tasted.
