Serious wiggling in my nether regions. Deep, robust, yet carrying a freshness that I don’t often correlate with Aussie wines. I admit complete dismissal of their wine and this is the perfect smack in the face. Humility is a good thing sometimes. Deep hue, bursting with ripe and slightly baked black berry, plum fruit. Espresso, bitter cocoa, wood smoke, baked leather, cool herbs, spice, game, warmth earth. Savory and fruit perfectly mingle about, tannins are ripe, soft, yet giving enough foundation and posture to carry all that richness it has. Hides its alc very well. Great wine that is hitting all the right buttons with BBQ. Omensetter Vineyard.
