Very pretty touch to the bouquet and only some aged complexity showing.
Very dense dark colour and a vibrant red rim, clearly unfiltered. Powerful, great fruit weight and excellent tannin. Thanks Joe!

Last of my ‘03 Bransons. Like going to watch a late career slugger, it still had some pop but lacked the intense power of earlier years. Bright, tangy fruit but few layers and depleted tannins. Thanks for the memories!

What one would expect of a single vineyard 15% abv in 2004. Big, concentrated, dark purple and black fruit covered in a warm blanket of oak. There’s Syrah in there somewhere, but most has been ripened beyond recognition. Putting that aside, and accepting this for what it is, there’s plenty to enjoy and no discernable edges, especially on a cold, rainy night.

Great balance. Fruit is rich but not overpowering. Vibrant wine that can still age but performs very nicely.
