Next up on the tasting list at Nelson Airport was the Brancott Estate Brut Cuvée which is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Brancott Estate were formerly known as ‘Montana’ until they rebranded 5 or so years ago.
On the eye it’s very much a blushy colour which suggests they let some of the Pinot skins stay in contact with the juice to impart a bit of colour. The nose is full of biscuits and lemon 🍋 scents with a hint of strawberry. While in the mouth it has a smooth texture and hints of nuts and bread with a creamy lemon butter. It went down a treat pre-flight!
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes
