Ovid Line North Medium Dry Riesling
Finger Lakes, New York, USA
Nose has dried orange, light petrol, very over ripe peach, orange zest, nectarine and faint vinyl.
Palate has sweet dried peach slice, candied pineapple, ripe nectarine, lemon zest with a medium+ finish. Really starting to develop nicely...and of course, our last bottle on the vintage.
Generally these should hold a minimum of +10Y.
(We do have some other older vintages we're waiting out.) What a fantastic wine tonight!
Paired to sweet chilli chicken thighs (Dorie Greenspan, an absolute favorite cookbook author) to really cut the sweet heat of the dish. This halbtrocken Finger Lakes Riesling was a perfect match!

A very fresh nose with notes of white flowers, stones and a touch of rock candy. On the palate this is an elegant and fresh wine with a touch of refreshing sweetness. Flavors of juicy white peach, lime and a touch of starfruit mingle with soft mineral notes and a very soft, refreshing acidity that balances out the Kabinett level feel of sweetness. The finish is long and crisp with lingering acidity and sweetness and touches of stone fruits. A wonderful introductory Finger Lakes off-dry Riesling.
