Another monthly WTF Group meet up. Northern Rhône vs Southern Rhône, blind as usual.

This was probably the easiest guess of the night for me, mainly because of the dominant red fruit/spice. I didn’t pick up a lot of dark fruit or secondary herbal/meaty notes. Still tannic, this is a very solid CdP that has the stuffing to go a while.

Promising but still tight and not really showing its full potential. Surprisingly dark color and dito fruits, this youngster is almost inky but lively with caressing sweet tannins, fresh acidity and it promises to come full circle in another 5-8 years. 92+

Sweet, spicy, herbaceous and red berry tinged with minerality interwoven alongside ripe tannins and just enough acidity to let the rich and fruity finish linger effortlessly.

Bright raspberry nose, but darker fruits on the pallet. Young, this needs some time but I think it will become a special wine if I can keep my hands off of it!

Drank this entirely too young. Big restrained fruit with a nice tannin/acid balance, not hot or messy at all. Check in again in 5 years, would not be surprised to see this go a total of 15-20 years.

100% Grenache. Didn't think it was worth the price.
