Jun 10th, 2018This Softh African blend from Boschendal is 61% Chardonnay and 39% Pinot Noir it is pale grapefruit in color with a golden hue. Aromas of raspberries, cranberries and stone fruits, with hints of rose peddles and orange zest. Flavors of strawberries and red cherries. Subtle flavors of peaches and tangy orange peel. Crisp and fruity with a creamy mouth feel. Very elegant and delicate. Drink while preparing dinner or while relaxing on the patio. Pair with summer salads (like Waldorf) or cheeses of your liking. Producer facts; 80% of the Chardonnay is fermented in stainless steel, the remaining 20%is oak fermented and spends 8 weeks on Lee's. The fruit is picked in early morning. Happy sipping!

Apr 15th, 2018Color of grapefruit and pink. Nose is nutty, with some roasted pistachio, ripe fruit note like banana and mango, a bit spice and alcohol strength. Taste of nutty flavors, a bit salty minerals, some apple, just a hint of sweetness, and again some alcohol strength. Aftertaste of some bitter zest and good acidity. I can tell the Chardonnay note from the taste but hardly any signature from the Pinot. Quite interesting taste though.
