This 2015 Emporium Apassimento Salento from Puglia, Italy uses grapes that remain on the vine to rasinate. It's an equal blend of Primitivo and Negroamaro. It is ruby in color with a red hue on the rim. Aromas of cherry jam, candied apples and baking spices with a hints of tobacco and white pepper. Flavors of jammy baked fruit and rasins with touches of cherry cola and dried apricots. A good balance of baked fruits and lively acidity. Rich and plush with subtle tannins and a long finish.
