Borja Perez Viticultores
Ignios Orígenes Listán Negro
Super unique. Rustic. Muddy. Volcanic. Low tannins. High acid. Worth drinking if just to learn what a wine can be.

1 person found it helpfulDec 23rd, 2016This wine is really intense. The aroma is unforgiving from the get go, lots of meaty-meaty smoke, almost wondered if it was a bit reductive as the aromas upon popping it were so intense. Whatever the case, they didn't blow off. This was intensely meaty with almost a rubber quality underneath. Likely to be a very divisive wine. Others (with geeky palates) enjoyed, I found it too intense on its own and wouldn't really feel inspired to find the food to go with it. Love Canary Islands, but this one a bit too meaty for me.

Nov 17th, 2015Classic Listan Negro dark fruit and volcanic ash, this version perhaps a bit overextracted, but a nice wine nonetheless. Try Los Bermejos for a stellar example.

May 4th, 2015Light turbidity and some oranging on ruby.
Herbaceous spicy raspberry nose.
Refreshing acidity and a little tannin grip.
Stem inclusion?
Fun wine!
