Approachable on opening but best after an hour or so of slow ox. Deep rose and spice aroma popped on opening. Slight grip of tannins initially but subsided within an hour. Cherry, cinnamon, tar, and leather on the palate and a hint of sweet balsamic and a graphite mineral kick near the lingering smooth finish that lingers quite a while as the tannins return with a purpose. This is a sipping wine with an interesting journey worth taking.
