This is precise and nicely done for a bargain-priced Barbaresco. Nose, with air, shows very pure dark cherry fruit, a bit of rose petal, smoky crushed rock and gravel, and some spice notes. It’s concentrated, chiseled, and fairly full in the mouth. Loads of dried cherry and stone flavors. Significant but soft tannin, and good acids. Enjoyable now but will likely get better over the next several years.
