A really nice midweight Merlot (and Cab). Plums outweigh the blackcurrant but both are there; there’s a hint of underbrush and subtle (very subtle) funk and pyrazine. This is definitely old world, but not as extracted and woody as most cru bordeaux. A really nice bottle. I wouldn’t keep this for decades, but it can definitely soften a little. Reminded me a bit of Lynch Bages from a middle of the road vintage.
