Smooth from the get go. Paired with both flat iron steak and pork short ribs. Smoky short ribs paired best.

Maybe this 2018 vintage is a bit young, because it doesn’t taste balanced yet to me - a bit too much smokiness, presumably from the oak barrels. I have another bottle of the same that I will age for a couple of years.
