At first I was really disappointed. Seemed like there was nothing there - just an angular angry wine without any fruit or purpose. I moved on to other wines and had a little left in the glass. Hour or more later I go back to the wine and the fruit magically reappears. Seemingly more in balance and voluptuous I really enjoyed the last sips. Interesting.

Drank one of these last night too. Never had a Bonneau rouge before. Weird cough syrup medicinal smell before decanting, then opened up with some nice deep red fruit and a considerable tannin profile.
