14 was a considerable step down unfortunately. Some nice clove, tar, leather and licorice notes. Finish just not pulling it all together

Pick of the wines for the night at the Leigh St Mclaren Vale tasting. Lovely - elegant and balanced. A lot going on both in the aromas and palate. As indicated in 'violet hours' this wine most certainly does have its floral edge joining raspberry, black cherry, blackberries, anise, brown spice and an earthiness to its aromas. Juicy and expressive palate almost bordering on red fruited with that subtle spice and enough acid to extend the finish. Weight is surely a lot lighter than the other Shiraz on tasting but adding to its charm even more
