Boich Family Cellar
Howell Mountain Select Cabernet Sauvignon
This is the 2014 Boich Family Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain Select.
Dark ruby red. Floral attack with dried black cherries, red mountain berries and baking spices on the nose. As it opened up there was a stronger aroma of cinnamon, vanilla and spiced herbs. Heavy tannins (8.5/10) with tons of structure. Great backbone with a slight dustiness on the palate. Lots of dried dark berries on the palate. Full bodied with a slightly dry long finish. This can easily last 20+ years. Drink till 2038. (97+)

Well, I keep trying to figure out how to slip a "z" in there, and claim it as my own! Bought it for the name (and Howell Mt), will keep buying for the taste. Decanted for 3 hrs. Bright, dry strawberries and cherry, cola, nice leather, and a little chalky stone. Wonderful nose. Paired with a rack of lamb (fennel seed, pepper, garlic and rosemary). Nice! 15.5 ABV, 9.2/3.
