Back at Palma Real Reserve and another Pintia (‘10 this time). Better than the ‘12 last year, exotic nose leading a rich and full-bodied beast. Black cherry and Asian spice, smooth and loaded with fine tannins. Would score higher but started to fall apart somewhat after an hour - i’d PnP this if I owned it. But could be a storage issue...

Full. Black fruit. Well structured. Terrific with a meat. Toro is adjacent to Ribera del Duero. Think what Sonoma is to Napa. A great value from the Vega Sicilia house.

PnP. Cedar, black fruit, earth. Concentrated, spicy, full throttle wine. Medium body and acid. Tannins are very present. Persistent finish. Good stuff but needs more time.
