Earthy, just a little funky, but there's plenty of bright fruit to balance it out. Oak is restrained. Could be a ringer for a village Pommard.

Oct 31st, 2013A great sub-$20 find, this was my favorite wine out of a huge group of Tempranillo based Spanish wines, many that were much more expensive. A fresh nose of red fruit, earth and spice. The palate was energetic, with layers of wonderfully balanced and persistent flavors with a clean finish of lively acidity and medium grain, but well integrated tannins.
