Lots of muscadelle raisins and baking spices in the nose. Loads of fruit and some bits of spice on the palate. The alcohol isn't particular noticeable and the fruit doesn't come across stewed...decently made but this just wasn't really doing it for me.

$5.69 at Costco and awesome! Dry and woody but still smooth in the finish. Deep flavor. I liked!

The '11 Bodegas Volver Mourvèdre 'Tarima' Alicante is absolutely the best bargain wine (Costco $6) I've tasted. It is sappy, but spicy with red berry and cherry aromas. The flavors display excellent clarity and energy. With its load of juicy fruit in a bright, midweight package, this is the perfect everyday drinker with pizza or pasta.
