Black and red fruit, complex spice profile from both barrel and fruit, well balanced acidity, structure, woody in a good way. KILLER for $10 at Costco. Oh and drinks well for a few days and cellar worthy.

The wine pours a very dark purple. It has hints of cherry and raspberry but the fruit overall is subdued. Very good legs, too. I would describe the wine overall as "sturdy." It seems like it could be put up for a while and would be even better in a few years. It paired very well with the spaghetti, meatballs and vodka sauce we served.
