This is the white; Albillo Mayor aged on lees.
One can sense the altitude and age of vines here. It is leaner than one might guess, given the richness of reds from the region, with a slightly phenolic edge to it's sharpness. A very interesting contrast to the Grand Cru Burgundy where structural similarities showed themselves in spades.

I’ve taken a liking for rarities and oddities in wine and this white from Ribera del Duero immediately caught my eye. This is perfumed, highly acidic, it’s got this rich umami component to it in the mid-palate with a substancial savory finish. Differently enjoyable and would pair well with rich fish.. Cheers to rarities and oddities.
